I enjoyed our stay in Microtel. We've been to only a handful of hotels, but I'm starting to kinda know what to and what not to expect when it comes to their amenities and whatnots by the amount we pay for a night or two. With Microtel, I didn't expect it to be spacious. (We booked a room with two queen beds because it's what's only available that time and it was comfy big). They have the usuals: hair dryer, toilet with bidets, hot and cold shower, alarm clock/radio, cabinet with safe, aircon, lcd tv with cable channels (even those channels most hotels won't provide, so it's a big check.) and bathtub (well yeah this one isn't really basic). But what I like better is their style. Here in South Forbes, Laguna, they only have 3 floors and we stayed on the 2nd. The first floor was where I call the coffee corner, is and it's free of charge, except for the munchies and drinks inside the glass door ref of course. The night we came back from watching a movie in Solenad, we got a cup of his caffeine fix in that corner and went back up into our room. (We actually brought with us coffee/tea sachets as baon although we weren't sure if they'd provide kettle for hot water inside the room). And going one floor down wasn't a bad idea either. They provided coffee cups inside the room. On the second floor, in one corner, was another water dispenser and this time, ice cube maker. Since they provided glass water bottle every room, we always filled ours with cold water. We didn't need to buy mineral water bottles from the grocery anymore. Breakfast was included too, buffet style. I had tocino, omelette, orange juice, tea and pansit bihon: 2 plates, yes I came back for another round because it was that good. Hubby had garlic rice, omelette, coffee and had 2 or 3 small bowls of chocolate cereals hehe. We were there Monday and although a holiday, I wasn't expecting it full to the brim, which just showed that Microtel that time was fully booked, or almost. And all these for under Php 4,000. I think that's sulit. And the best deal here is, they provided free shuttle service going to/from Nuvali too. After going around Solenad, we called them up for sundo and we were transported back safely to the hotel. Talk about convenience and worry-free stay.
