Books I Like: The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie

My favorite quotes from this book...

Of course, some people have venom in their hearts. But venom is nature’s defence mechanism and who are you to find fault with nature?

always remember that you are the shepherd and all the other kids are sheep

you can’t let fear get in the way of progress

Imagine the loneliness of that: never to be yourself

‘You all remember I once promised I’d tell you my theory on teenagers?’...‘It’s like this,’ she said, talking fast. ‘It is my belief that the teenager is a person with three main characteristics. First!’ She held up a finger.
...‘First, teenagers get caught up in their own heads.
...‘Now, number two, the teenager needs excitement—it’s a reaction, I guess, to the realisation that life is ordinary.
...‘And finally, teenagers lose their sense of perspective. They’re stuck between childhood and adulthood so they don’t know whether they’re up or down.

I think this read is my first young-adult novel. I enjoyed the book as the reading progresses because it just gets better and better.
