Rootbeer extract in cupcakes was...a mistake.

I simply wanted to be free to go wherever the wind blew me...the problem was the wind wasn't a reliable headhunter.

You can tell a lot about people by the things they surround themselves with in their homes.

Here's the only thing I know for sure: chopped pineapple is incredible on hotdogs...-but toss it with a little chopped red onion and put it on a hotdog.

Amazing how your perspective can change your reality, huh?

Chicken must be cooked perfectly so it's moist, not dry and tender. No hard spots on the outside.

The difference between good shrimp and rubber is about 10 seconds.

Cheap steak can be made better by dry aging in the fridge. But old steak is beyond hope.

Freezer burn is not dangerous to food, but it takes away flavor and reduces crisp vegetables to marbles.

We are like seaweed, whipped around in the current of an erratic ocean.

Everything in life comes down to timing.

Everyone was different, sometimes to the point where I couldn't relate but that doesn't mean they were more right or more wrong than I was.

Life could be cold.

Everyone worries about money. Money and love.

Your love life is good. This is when it usually hits. When you are not expecting.

If you look at the negative, you're going to see plenty. It's like statistics that can prove whatever theory you want.

No hope springs as aggressively eternal as desperate hope.

Shrimp takes a minute or two per side. The rule of thumb is when they curl into a C that means they're cooked.

Sometimes you've just got to have the best of the worst.

Sometimes in life, all you need is a little hope, a lot of courage and -oh yes- butter.
