Books I Recommend: The Lincoln Myth

my favorite lines from this book:

all is not as it seems

decorum was a lost art, his father had many times said.

"i ain't good as i once was, but I'm as good once as i ever was"

no success can compensate for a failure in the home

part of being smart was knowing what you wanted

hate. what a powerful emotion. so was jealousy.
