I had my birthday dinner here. It was hubby's surprise dinner as he knew how I wanted to dine in this one posh of a resto. I wanted it here because I super love the idea of high tea or afternoon tea. I don't want to blame Downton Abbey though :)
When we saw how extensive the menu was, it took us a while to order our food. The selection of tea itself was overwhelming, parang 5 million choices were there hehe. They have set meals also ala degustation levelz.
Anyways, I ordered eggs benedict and hubby had lamb stew. My order's real good. The bread's crunchy and tea infused pa, which made it different to your ordinary eggs benedict out there. It was delish and satisfying. But the lamb stew????? naghahanap ng 3 cups ng rice! That good! With the tea naman, I chose one that's not 2k worth (yup meron nun). Happy na ko sa tea that's citrusy or those with berries, so I had the one I saw on the list first, buti na lang mura (P195). Hubby was the experimental soul, so he tried one with vanilla and bourbon. He liked it. We capped off the meal trying macarons and scones. Until now I still remember the taste of those scones. Super perfect. Even without fanfare, oks na oks. It was served warm tapos medyo crunchy outside and soft inside. It was siksik na nakakabusog and it was tasty. After paying for our meal, they handed us this iPad for some survey. I remember in the suggestion box, we wrote All Day Breakfast. :) Happy tummy. Happy birthday.
