Books I Like: The Girl Who Saved The King of Sweden

My favorite quotes from this book...

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits. – Unknown

But she survived. Things would get better. And worse. Above all, they would get strange.

She was being impudent again. It was enough to make a person crazy. Especially since she was always right.

The more I see of men, the more I like my dog. -Madame de Staël

A country that is being rocked to its core requires clear leadership, not page after page of this let’s-all-hug-each-other journalism.

The overworked man was tired of everything, and he only kept going because he had long since forgotten that life could consist of anything else.

Present – That part of eternity dividing the domain of disappointment from the realm of hope. -Ambrose Bierce

Life need not be easy, provided only that it is not empty. -Lise Meitner

Wasn’t the most important thing not what one said, but what one meant?

Nothing is permanent in this wicked world – not even our troubles.
-Charlie Chaplin

This book is so funny and entertaining. 👍 It made me want to read his other book because Mr. Jonasson's writing is so unique and totally different from my usual reads. I relished the difference and I really look forward to The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared.
