Books I Like: End of Watch

End of Watch is the third book of Mr. Mercedes. (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers and End of Watch) Good thing is each can stand on it's own. My favorite quotes...

After all everyone casts a shadow.

He’s come to believe that Internet-assisted self-diagnosis is a game for idiots.

But those misty gray eyes of hers flick up and to the left as she says it. It’s a classic liar’s tell, and Hodges knows when he sees it.

Being thorough is a poor substitute for being thoughtful.

There’s no time like the present.

WiFi was the hacker’s best friend.

‘How did I get into this?’ he moans. ‘The way everybody gets into everything,’ Brady says gently. ‘One step at a time.’

The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.

Too late always comes too early.

We are made to persist, that’s how we find out who we are.

How do you explain a robin to someone who’s never seen a bird?

They said that the world would beat a path to your door if you built a better mousetrap.

If the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit.

Just have to add this..
Because things can get better, and if you give them a chance, they usually do.
