The Equalizer

 Late post...

I didn't know this movie was based on a tv series. But since Denzel Washington was in it, I thought it better be a good movie that's packed with action scenes. I couldn't look at some of the gory details though because I didn't want to embarrass myself by screaming inside the theater and besides I really couldn't bear to look at graphic scenes. Hubby thought graphics were good and didn't show much really, I know men love those scenes as I hear most of them inside the cinema were kind of reacting (the good kind) while I was covering my eyes. I like how the movie ended and how the people closest to the protagonist were left unscathed and how the bad guys deserved what they got. The movie reminded me of Jason Bourne. I also thought Denzel was better off as Jack Reacher too.

IMDB Trivia:

Russell Crowe was originally attached to star as Robert McCall.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz fought for the role of Teri when she found out it was written for someone of the age of 24. She presented herself so well, the director immediately made the change.

The book that Robert is reading in the diner, the plot of which he describes to Teri, is The Old Man & The Sea by Ernest Hemingway.

McCall is never actually shown shooting a firearm.

Based on the classic television series starring Edward Woodward.
