KARADA

3F  New Glorietta Mall, Makati

I admit I had second thoughts with this body treatment that even if the process sounded heavenly, I got scared when it came to the so-called popping the bones. You see I don't even like hard massages, I have had bad experiences before where I seldom tell the masseuse to go soft pero nasasaktan pa din ako (there was one who walked out on me and found an alternate who can do what I wanted). I came to a point where nagtitiis na lang ako so as not to hurt the feelings of the one I'm paying the service of.

So when we booked for an appointment here I readied myself. Eye on the prize, that's what I kept thinking. The good thing was that if you're a first timer, they'd explain every step to you, you can also ask questions kaya meron kayong understanding of what's going on. I liked that.

"KARADA focuses on realigning the body back to its natural balance by applying precise pressure on specific points of the body. The process, which is based on ancient Japanese techniques, thus follows a more clinical and practical approach compared to other wellness centers that tend to pamper rather than fix.

Each begins with consultation which includes an inquiry into the client’s lifestyle and habits. From this, the therapist makes an assessment as well as the recommended treatment. Before anything else, however, a muscle conditioning massage prepares the body for the subsequent treatment. This is where the "cracking" begins.

There are four types of services offered in KARADA. The signature Atlas and Pelvis Balance or AP Balance, combining chiropractic, Seitai, and Judoseifuku, is the most popular. It involves straightening up both the
atlas (neck and shoulders) and the pelvis to its natural state, resulting to improved posture and immediate relief to back pains.

For muscle aches, the Body Treatment and Foot Treatment might prove beneficial. Both try to reach the deepest core of stiff joints for a deep tissue massage to reduce stiffness all while strengthening weak muscles."

I never thought I needed it until I gave it a try. I thought massages (though not satisfaction guaranteed all the time) were enough and were all I needed. But believe you me once your body's realigned to it's balance mararamdaman agad ang gaan. After the treatment I become conscious of my posture and of how I sometimes take my body for granted. And about the bones popping, it kinda hurt but in a relieved kind of way. You'll know it when you've been karada-ed. Wink.
