Food Blog: Tim Ho Wan

is said to be known as the cheapest One Michelin star in the world, located in Hongkong. Fyi, "The term "Michelin Star" is a hallmark of fine dining quality and restaurants around the world."

Here in Makati branch the long lines prove just how one must not miss why it is touted as one Michelin. I've read so much about Tim Ho Wan that I wanted to know for myself what the fuss was all about. And since I love Chinese foods it would really be easy to convince me.

Last December 24, it was a miracle that there were no long lines, in fact no line at all. #AkalainMoYun When we got there we were seated immediately and because I made mental note of what most patrons were raving about, we ordered them first.

Pork Rib Rice, P170
Once this was served on the table, the attendant poured sauce over it. I thought she put more than enough, na baka basa na masyado, surprisingly it was just right to the taste.

Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, P145/3pcs
Light: lightly crunchy, lightly sweet. Eto yung bida. The proof is that every table meron nito. Yum. Once you're here never miss these buns.

Beancurd with Shrimp, P140
This is my favorite. The moment I took my first bite sya na. Agad agad. :)

Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp, P120
I don't like spinach pero here I didn't taste yung tapang na ayaw ko sa spinach. It tasted clean and malasa pa. Eto naman ang super favorite ni hubby.

Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Cake, P70
Impressive name for a dessert di ba and looks good too. It capped off the meal perfectly kasi light din sya at hindi sweet.

Overall, the expectations were met, kumbaga eto pala yung sinasabi nila. As of now the chefs in HK mismo are still the ones behind the kitchen pa to make sure everything that it is known for will be done perfectly right. Some, who've tried this in HK say the food here tastes exactly the same as it does there. The food were really delicious and not as expensive and intimidating as the others. We spent less than 1k na, we left satisfied pa, sulit for me. And now I understand why people kept on lining up maybe two, three or more times in Tim Ho Wan.
