food blog: Dads

I'm not the buffet type because I believe lugi lang ako for paying much when I can't really eat 'em all if only for the sake of being sulit. I later realized there's such a thing as tips for buffet eating so you might have to heed those tips first before heading out to buffets. Dads is a popular choice and here's my experience through pictures.

Here's my first plate. Actually I've had three plates but no photos for the second and third because I decided I'd just enjoy my food.

I've tried all ice cream available. Vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and coffee.

Salad: Veggie salad, macaroni salad and potato salad.

Meryendang pinoy: maja blanca, minatamis na saging, turon, banana cue, palitaw, gulaman, biko and sapin-sapin. I didn't try any of these because I thought I'd get full so easily if I did especially with the kakanin.

Pasta: carbonara and spaghetti. I tried both and I enjoyed carbonara better.

Siopao and Siomai. Don't tell me about siomai because it's super hit in my family. There's steamed and fried and both are super sarap but the steamed ones are what we devoured.

Mami. Hubby came back for a second serving so I guess the broth is malasa.

Ginataan, okoy, tokwa and lumpiang sariwa.

Halo-halo is also available. you get to choose your preferred ingredients

 Fries. cheese and plain

Different cakes and pastries.

Those that stood out for me and I highly recommend are: siomai, carbonara, palabok, dinuguan at puto, mini tacos and strawberry ice cream. There are more I haven't tried and I'd have wanted to but my stomach can only accommodate so much. Although not all are a winner, most naman are worth the second or third plate. you really don't have to try everything and you can't (I wonder if someone can) but if you must why not work your way from appetizer to dessert and skip rice or bread. Hubby said to get a little bit of everything so I guess that summed it all up. Also I observed you can get 2 plates at the same time instead of getting up for seconds. But then nakakalaki ata ng tyan if the whole time you're just on your seat because when you walk around at least you get to work the calories off.

Bon appetit!
