Pina Bistek

This is originally a DelMonte beef recipe, so if you opt to use beef instead, this same recipe is just perfect. I tried using chicken because we personally prefer it than beef or pork. And as excpected it didn't disappoint.


Ingredients:
8cloves garlic (crushed)
3tbsp light soy sauce
1 1/2tbsp calamansi juice or lemon
1/4tsp pepper
1can (227g) pineapple tidbits (separate the syrup)
oil for frying
1medium onion

Procedure:
Marinate chicken for 1 hour in garlic, soy sauce, calamansi juice, pepper and pineapple syrup

Fry chicken until light brown. Set aside. Retain 2tbsps of oil in pan.

In same pan, saute onion rings. Add marinade. Simmer.

Add fried chicken and pineapple tidbits.
