Books I Recommend: Life of Pi

My favorite lines from the book...

And it will make me believe in God?
Yes.
That's a tall order.
Not so tall that you can't reach.

A good-natured smile is forever on its lips.

The more you look. The more you see.

What a terrible disease that must be if it could kill God in a man.

Doubt is useful for a while.

Life will defend itself no matter how small it is.

Christianity in essence, exists only at one time: right now.

All religions are true. I just want to love God.

People move because of the wear ad tear of anxiety.

To be drunk on alcohol is disgraceful, but to be drunk on water is noble and ecstatic.

Fear is life's only true opponent, only fear can defeat life.

Ignorace is the worst doctor while rest and sleep are the best nurses.

Be daunted but not defeated.

Life is a peephole, a single tiny entry onto a vastness,

Time is an illusion that only makes us pant. I survived because I forgot even the very notion of time.

Faith in God is an opening-up, a letting go, a deep trust, a free act of love.

To be a castaway is a point perpetually at the center of a circle.

You must make adjustments if you want to survive.

Life can make the most surprising turns.

The lower you are, the higher your mind will want to soar.

It's important in life to conclude things properly. Only then can you let go.

"If you stumble at mere believability, what are you living for? Isn't love hard to believe?"

The world isn't just the way it is, it is how we understand it.
