hotel review: Tune Hotel

Last December, again to avoid our neighbor’s karaokefest ng hanggang madaling araw, we slept in a hotel. We looked for hotels that have cheaper rates but were decent enough for an overnight stay. Tune Hotel: We paid a little less than 2k, check. And it’s located in Kalayaan Ave, a few minutes away from office, big check. We loved our stay here that we’d probably go back. We hardly go back to hotels we’ve tried before because we have always wanted to try something new each time so looking forward to going back here means a super nice experience at least to us both. Here’s the experience in pictures.

We stayed for a night only and we paid a little less than P2,000 (I think P1,800+). We tried booking online but for some reason we couldn't get through. The hotel rates weren't the same as online too. We informed them that but the front desk lady insisted they were the same, anyways it would have been convenient had we made our payments online but then we had to go to their branch pa and paid initial deposit. (which was the full amount)
The room was small as compared to other budget hotels but I like the vibe here better. It's simple clean and contemporary. We chose the package that includes 24h a/c, cable tv, wifi and towel with toiletries. There's no closet here but you can see that there's at least a provision for when you want to hang clothes, hangers are limited though.

A perfect hideaway if only for free wifi (for 3 devices). Unlike some hotels that'll claim of free wifi pero super bagal naman, theirs were fast, so if you've emails to attend to or work, you can stay here and do all stuff with no interruptions. That's not a telephone on the wall but a blow dryer. There's one though near the elevator door if you need to speak to the front desk clerk.
A simple toilet but with bidet. Has showers, we had no problem with water.
Inside were towels that were for rent and some basic toiletry kits like shampoo, lotion and soap only. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. If you want new towels you will be charged additional. Tip: you can bring home these bags with you as you paid for them (if included) so are the kits but not the towels okay.
The room has a ceiling fan even if there's aircon unit.
With mirror, lamps and ghost tables. Good quality bed because we were able to sleep soundly.
There's a safe for valuables.
Tune Hotel is unique in a sense that you can choose what will be included in the package. If you want 24 hour a/c and just towels or toiletries, of course you will pay less. If you want more, like wifi connection or breakfast set you will have to pay additional. It will all depend on you. Do not miss other package types too because they introduce new ones from time to time. As per front desk clerk, all rooms here have windows. If you want to order food, there's a menu on your room. Kalayaan Ave branch is near restaurants and fast food joints so it's a no-brainer to try new restaurants here. It's also a jeepney ride away from Glorietta and Landmark. Our stay here as I said was worth the second trip at least to us. Maybe the next time we'll stay inside more. With a good book, a few hours to surf the net and delish take-out foods, that will be good break for sure.
