The Bazaar of Bad Dreams

Another compilation of short stories by Stephen King. Like the first book I also enjoyed reading these stories as they made my imagination run wild and free, an easy escape to the hassles and or hustles and bustles of life. My favorite lines from this book...

MILE 81
teaching by example is always the most powerful teaching of all

you ate no shit, once you started eating shit, it had a way of becoming your regular diet

a child's scream, it's one of nature's more efficient survival mechanisms

he guessed little girls divided naturally into two groups, tomboys and dirt-haters

THE DUNE
a lawyer who serves as his own lawyer has a great fool for a client

BAD LITTLE KID
rarely isn't the same as never

there was nothing meaner than encouraging false hopes in a child

MORALITY
no woman wants the job of telling a man in her life that he's been wasting his time

UR
people who call themselves realist are often the biggest optimist of all

living well isn't the  best revenge ; loving well is

curiosity rather than rage was the true bane of the human spirit

because sometimes longshots came in

HERMAN WOUK IS STILL ALIVE
the body weakens but the words never do

BLOCKADE BILLY
sports mom can be wolverines

MISTER YUMMY
old people are as careless as teenagers

life's a great thing but if you live long enough, it wears out before it runs out

OBITS
in New York, paranoia is a survival skill

sometimes when the pieces come together, you can actually hear the click

and talent only wants one thing,  don't you see? it wants to come out

sometimes silence really is golden
